Unzip the MIXING10.ZIP file in its own subdirectory. Then run the program called DEMOSHEL.EXE under Windows 3.1. This program will make it easy to run the demo programs, and to read the text files that explain the programs. The programs included on this disk are a liquid blending program, a gas-liquid mixing program, a fully functioning pipe sizing program, and a liquid flow network demo. The demos for the other Alchemy Systems programs, Mixer shaft sizing, Adiabatic flow, and two phase flow in piping are not included on this program. The demo programs are dos programs and can be run outside of windows if necessary, The demo programs consist of three parts, The EXE file, A picture file with the PIC extension and a third part with an INP extension. Consequently, the files should not be separated into other directorys since they will not work unless all three parts are included. MIXDEMO Program. ( brief instructions ) The mixing program does not accept user input but merely demonstrates various example problems. From the first menu screen press L to load in an example program. You use the arrow keys and enter to select the file. This will return you to the Main Menu. Then press V -- enter to see the vessel screen. Press A for accept from the various, vessel, agitator, shaft diameter screens to return to the main menu. GASDEMO -- Works the same as the basic gas mixing program but give examples of the more complex problem of gas-liquid mixing. PIPEDEMO -- This is a fully functioning pipe sizing program for single phase that includeds automatic pipe diameters, fitting selection, and other features. Its called PIPEDEMO.EXE on the directory. NETDEMO -- Demonstrates the solved demo programs and will solve very small networks that you input. Works for both liquid and gas fluids. You will need to read the detailed instructions from the DEMOSHEL program to use this program. Its fairly complex.
